I am the proud parent of four (4) children. And they have made me the loving grandmother of 10 grandchildren including 2 that are deceased (Cordell Jr. And Marium Lang). As of May 2007, I became a GREAT grandmother with another great grandchild due in Sept. 07. Yes, my family is steadily growing.
Well, while my children were still young, I taught myself how to do ceramics. Even though I was self taught I was really good at it. Eventually opening my own ceramic shop in Jacksonville, Fl. (Ruth’s Ceramics) After all my children started school I joined the work force. I started a career in Credit Collections throughout the country. Successfully working with many major companies/banks, I climbed the corporate ladder. In 1987 I moved back to Jacksonville, Fl and was blessed to spend over 6 years of special one on one time with my mother, Mrs Altamease E. Harrley, before she passed in 1993.
After 30 years of working God set me down in May of 2002 and I became disabled. With much time on my hand, that I wasn’t use to, I worked on my book. Though some chapters were heart breaking, I went over them and just kept updating the book with events from the years passed. This is the first book that I have ever written. It’s my life, my heart throbs & aches, and my soul on these pages. I hope you will enjoy it and learn something at the same time. And, yes, I already have another book in mind.
Thank you all for your support and I hope you enjoyed your visit to my web site.
Thankfully Blessed,
Ruth Johnson
